House/Club Rules

Introduction

It is the responsibility of the booking member to share all of the information in this document with all members of their party. These rules & responsibilities have been designed to ensure the enjoyment of all. Members are responsible for ensuring that they and their guests abide by them.

The club is run on a voluntary basis and relies on us all as members and guests to contribute to the safe and clean running of the houses. This is how we can offer such good rates of accommodation. The houses must be left in a clean, and tidy state for the next visitors. If this doesn't happen fees would have to increase to cover the additional cleaning and fix costs.

We understand accidents happen; it's when we're not informed it causes problems for the committee and the next visitors. If you discover any issues/damage either on arrival or during your stay you need to inform the relevant Booking Secretary straight away (with pictures if possible). This gives us a chance to address it.

If things are not reported we assume that the fault lies with the last occupants and will take this up with them, expecting them to cover costs incurred and fees levied.

Our properties have no onsite wardens. As members and guests, we must all help in protecting and respecting each other. Committee members act as wardens and have a duty to ensure bookings are valid and rules and responsibilities are followed. Please don’t be offended if you are approached.

The BBRCC Rules are:

Bookings: You must ensure that:

  • You and everybody in your group must have a valid booking for the duration of your stay. The booking member must be in attendance for the duration of the stay and is the person accountable/responsible to the Club on behalf of their Group.

  • Six weeks’ notice is given for cancellations of bookings for a refund to be claimed

On occasions, depending on your booking which will detail the room you have been allocated, you may need to share your room with other visitors. Please be mindful of this and allow other visitors space for their luggage and equipment.

Members & guests must bring and use:

b. Towels

c. Pillowcase

d. Tea towel
