About the club

BBRCC was formed originally in Birmingham and grew through the introduction of friends and family to quickly become a national club.

Accommodation – In 1973, we purchased Cae Groes, a converted farmhouse in North Wales for BBRCC to use as self-catering accommodation. In 1983, we then purchased Raven Crag, a converted Lakeland cottage in Great Langdale, the Lake District again for BBRCC’s use as self catering accommodation. The club is now based around the two houses and it also provides facilities and events to enable its members, their friends and families to enjoy the outdoors.

Events – Every year the Club holds an Annual Dinner in January, usually involving a speaker of renown from the outdoor community (Chris Bonington and Kenton Cool have both been previous speakers).

Membership – Members pay an annual individual membership fee to belong to the Club and pay accommodation fees for using the properties. A member can benefit from booking bed nights at member rates for a Spouse/partner, and any under 18s residing at the member's address.

How do I Join? – Please read the Club Rules and confirm you agree to abide by them, as doing so is a condition of membership. Go to the Application page here.
